Homebound Library Delivery

Are you or someone you know unable to get to the library? In partnership with Southern RI Volunteers, Exeter Public Library and Louttit Library now offer free delivery of library materials to residents of Exeter and West Greenwich who are permanently homebound or temporarily unable to drive or get around due to illness or injury. Materials include books, large print books, audiobooks, movies, magazines, and more.

Who may take advantage of Homebound Library Delivery?

  • Residents of Exeter or West Greenwich who are permanently homebound
  • Residents of Exeter or West Greenwich who are temporarily unable to drive or get around due to an illness or injury

 

What materials are available through Homebound Library Delivery?

  • Books, large print books, audiobooks, movies, magazines, and other items owned by Exeter Public Library or Louttit Library. Staff will choose titles based on your preferences and requests.
  • Homebound patrons with a library card in good standing may also use their own card to request specific items from the Ocean State Libraries catalog. Requests are limited to items with currently available copies only.

 

What does Homebound Library Delivery cost?

  • This is a completely free service made possible by a partnership of Southern RI Volunteers, Exeter Public Library, and Louttit Library.
